PAINTING

Living in the foothills of the southern Blue Ridge, my work is inspired by the wild and rugged terrain of the Carolinas as well as the unique charm, history and vibrance of the nearby communities of Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC.

I use watercolor, ink, acrylic, gouache and other mediums to bring to life the majestic landscapes, lush forests, colorful towns, and awe-inspiring vistas that define the area.

I developed an early interest in art while growing up in the Midwest and spending many cold winters drawing fancy hot rods, tractors and trucks; zany Mad Magazine-like characters; and action-packed renditions of iconic sports legends and events. At times, those influences reemerge in my current work.

Before settling in the Carolinas, I enjoyed a career in management consulting at a well-known professional services firm (while accumulating a lifetime of frequent flyer miles).

I invite you to journey through the totally awesome, colorful, and sometimes gritty tapestry of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the landscapes, people, and history that make this region truly unique.

100% of the profit from the sale of my art is donated to charitable organizations that work to protect the critical lands, waters, and natural beauty of Upstate South Carolina.
