Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville

Artists Guild Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina and is the oldest co-operative gallery in town having been open since 2008. We represent up to 18 juried, local award winning artists in 2,000 square feet of space offering a variety of media including: acrylic, graphite, oil, pastel, watercolor, photography and mixed media. In 2019 we launched our own gift shop containing small works from our members as well as creations from more than 15 local consignors. Prints and cards, pottery, small paintings, mosaics, custom jewelry, textiles; and works of glass, metal and wood offer something for everyone. We are a great source for unique Greenville souvenirs!

We participate in First Fridays Gallery Crawl from February-December at which time we host our monthly Guest or Featured Artist Receptions from 6-8 pm.

Because we are a co-operative gallery, each artist works in the gallery on a regular basis so that when you visit us, we will be ready to discuss and answer questions about the artwork on display.

Where are you located?: We are located at 200 N. Main Street in downtown Greenville, SC in the old Ivey’s department store building between Bertolo's Pizza and Southern Tide.
What payment options do you accept?: We accept MC and Visa credit cards, cash, and checks (with 2 forms of ID). American Express and Discover cards are subject to a 4% transaction fee.
How Do I Become A Member?: Each of our artists is juried in by the group. Members are required to work in the gallery, participate in events as able, perform various duties to assist with running the gallery as well as pay a monthly rent and commission on sales. Please fill out a Contact form, and one of us will get in touch with more information.
How Do I Become A Guest Artist?: Our Guest Artist Program gives area artists the opportunity to exhibit their work for an entire month in our prime downtown location. We assist with hanging the show, marketing and provision of space for a reception usually in conjunction with Greenville’s First Friday Gallery Crawl. There is a fee involved.

Do You Participate in First Fridays Gallery Crawl?: Yes! Every Friday from February-December, we feature a guest or member artist and stay open until 8 pm. We usually have light snacks and beverages on hand.

Many of our member artists are present to meet and greet and discuss art with you, as well!

Due to Covid-19, we will not be serving food for the time being.
Do You Appraise Other Art Work?: No. We have no ability to appraise art work that is not created by one of our own artists. We do not purchase or consign artwork created by anyone other than our members.
Do You Offer Classes?: Yes, we periodically have classes by various artists in our gallery. Please call the gallery, check our social media sites, or look for updated information in our Events section.
Are You on Social Media?: Yes! We as a gallery are active on Instagram and Facebook. Many individual artists have social media accounts, and you will find those links on each artist's gallery page under the ARTISTS heading in the menu.
