Dale Cochran
Dale Cochran, a native of South Carolina, has devoted over 45 years to the arts as an award-winning artist, illustrator, creative director, designer, and instructor. He graduated from Anderson University and Winthrop University, earning an associate degree in arts and a bachelor of visual arts, respectively.
Dale is known for his figurative, landscape, and animal work in watercolor. In addition to watercolors, he works with pencils, colored pencil, as well as pen and ink. While drawing and painting are his primary focuses, Dale brings a diverse set of skills to his work.
Throughout his four-decade professional career, he has served as an illustrator and designer, led creative teams, participated in numerous art organizations, been a member of advisory boards for art and design, juried art and design competitions, and conducted classes and workshops in watercolor and design.
Dale’s professional journey began as a fine artist and illustrator. His artwork has been showcased in exhibitions and is included in corporate, museum, and private collections. His award-winning illustrations have appeared in various publications, editorials, and marketing materials.
As a creative director with a proven ability to build and nurture diverse creative teams, Dale led teams in both corporate and higher education institutions, including Coats & Clark, Rockwell Automation, and Clemson University.
As a distinguished designer, he has spearheaded numerous marketing projects and directed design and implementation teams for the branding of businesses, organizations, programs, and products.
