“I love to paint, it is as simple at that.”

Laura moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2005. Her very first impression was created by a stroll down Main Street. “I remember thinking how wonderful this town was and that I wanted to a part of it”, states Mrs. Buxo.

She split her formal education between art and business, ultimately pursuing a career in the corporate world.

When Laura made the decision to become a full time fine artist, she studied with internationally known artists Tony Couch, Skip Lawrence, and Kasey Sealy. Laura’s first love is plein air painting, quickly capturing her subject through constantly changing light and weather conditions. When the weather does not cooperate, you will find Laura in her studio painting from life or creating a larger painting from her many plein air studies. She is equally comfortable with watercolor and oil mediums.

Laura is the President of the Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville, 200 North Main Street, Greenville, SC. 29601.
