As a young child I had a passion for Art. I started drawing around the age 5 and won several art awards in school. I attended summer workshops and had a piece of my work inducted into the Children’s Museum in Columbia, SC. My love for art and drawing progressed into adulthood. I always loved to go to Galleries and Museums to see other people’s work and the work of the Old Masters. It soon inspired me to paint. I started out in watercolor then acrylics before deciding oil was my medium of choice. I mainly paint in the Tonalist style. I love the abstractness and earthy colors of nature. Most of my work is heavily influenced by the Hudson River School of Painters and French Barbizon School of the 19th century. Although Compositions may vary I usually paint landscapes. I love the beauty of nature and Gods creation.
